Sunny - "Sunnier Days"

Standardbred Mare

3 yr old 16.2hh "Sunnier Days" or Sunny, is a 3 year old Standardbred mare that came from a loving owner. After beginning her driving training, it was decided that she wasn't going to have a race career on the track. She was offered to Lucky 7 Horse Rescue through our Standardbred program so she could be trained to ride and find a different career. She has taken to riding with immediate grace and skill. She is walk, trot, canter (and pace!) under saddle and rides in the arena, on trail, and even in the river! She is a big girl and an even bigger sweetheart! She has great manners on the ground and under saddle. Up to date on everything, good with her feet, great for tacking, loads right into the trailer, she really has no problems! Unlike some of our horses in the rescue, this girl has never been in a bad situation. Our Standardbred program takes in horses off the track or before they even make it to the track because we understand the value of these horses and cannot wait to share how great they are with everyone!
